Pope Expresses Deep Shame Over Priests’ Sexual Abuse

Pope Benedict XVI said on Tuesday that the church was “deeply ashamed” over the sexual abuse scandal and “would absolutely exclude pedophiles from the sacred ministry.” He also explained that it caused “great suffering” for the church and “me personally.”
